Having completed the second Sunway Safaris guides training for 2019, Douglas and I (Zandre) with many wonderful guides filled with excitement headed south to Zululand. We spent our time at Zululand Lodge where nature walks are of utmost brilliance. This time of year we find many little critters and what appealed to me most was the Painted Reed Frog.

Malva pudding is a sweet pudding of South African origin. It contains apricot jam and has a spongy caramelized texture. A cream sauce is often poured over it while it is hot, and it is usually served hot with custard and/or ice-cream. Many South African restaurants offer it.

Zandre and Kalunga 2 of our more experienced guides recently did a Zambia Malawi Livingstone Trail ZMa16 which visits the Mulanje Massif in Southern Malawi. The below is what Zandre had to report back on.

We travel a lot through Southern Africa and we see many different landscapes. Oceans, deserts, wildlife of many sorts, bush and many different mountains. One of many highlights to me this time was Mulanje.

Moses and Annika have recently returned from a South Africa Scenic Route SAg18. This is our camping trip through South Africa that visits the likes of Kruger National Park, Swaziland, Drakensberg, Lesotho, The Karoo, Addo Elephant National Park and ends in Cape Town. On safari you stay in designated camping sites in national parks, private reserves, private campsites and towns. Facilities are good with hot showers, electricity, clothes washing facilities and generally a bar and restaurant available.
