I grew up in Rustenburg South Africa, in the heart of the bushveld. I was first introduced to the outdoors on my dad’s game farm where I spent my time walking around, fishing and climbing trees. My love for the outdoors grew from there ever since, and when I was 16 I got my first field guiding qualification. After university studying Nature Life Management I worked as a field guide at a game reserve in the bushveld. Soon thereafter I started to do Sunway Safaris tours and I have been happy ever since. I spent most of my free time honing my cooking skills at home preparing dishes that I would normally prepare on tour and experimenting with new dishes to always keep the menu interesting. Whilst on tour I enjoy looking at birds, reptiles and the small thing that one can only see when walking through the bush, I also love to share my knowledge about animals and the environment with everyone who is willing to learn. I really like overlanding, meeting new people from all over the world, seeing so many different countries, cultures and different animals. I will do this still for a long time to come.
