Our two-week lodge safari, "Mozambique & Kruger – Beach and Bush," with Sunway was an extraordinary journey. The route was incredibly diverse, offering the perfect combination of fascinating wildlife safaris, glimpses into African urban life, and idyllic, secluded, paradisiacal beaches. Of course, you cover many kilometers and spend a lot of time in the truck – our affectionately nicknamed "Red Elephant" – but that's precisely what makes this trip so special: Since you don't have to worry about anything or drive yourself, you can calmly observe and absorb the landscape, the wildlife, and the life along the way. Yes, some stages are long and bumpy, but this is exactly how you experience both countries so intensely and gain insights that would otherwise remain hidden. You experience South Africa and Mozambique in a captivating way, gaining an incredible understanding of the land and its people, seeing the real Africa in all its facets, and at the same time having ample time for swimming and snorkeling on stunning coastlines. The accommodations were mostly beautifully situated and perfectly complemented the safari experience. In general, however, you should be aware that this is not a relaxing vacation, but rather an active trip with early mornings and a willingness to pitch in. A huge thank you goes to our guide, Dickson Chisema. He made this trip an absolutely unique experience. From the first day to the last, everything was perfectly organized. He always explained clearly what to expect, was open, warm, humorous, and always full of joie de vivre. His African roots and authentic manner, in particular, brought us closer to the country, culture, and people in a way we could never have experienced with a German tour guide. His enthusiasm, warmth, and extensive knowledge significantly shaped this trip and made it truly special. We were also particularly impressed by his vast knowledge of the wildlife, as well as the lives, traditions, and daily routines of the local people. This made every safari incredibly exciting and educational. In addition, Dickson is an excellent cook: Every day we were treated to fresh, varied dishes – a perfect blend of Western cuisine and authentic African specialties. We felt completely comfortable and well cared for at all times. This trip gave us countless special moments and will remain in our memories for a long time. Many thanks to Sunway for this fantastic tour, but especially to Dickson, whose warmth, zest for life, knowledge, and passion contributed immensely to its success. Highly recommended! One final note: Anyone wanting to experience authentic Africa even more intensely and up close should definitely book a tent safari. However, it's important to be aware that it's considerably more demanding and requires much more cooperation from all guests than a lodge safari. In return, you'll be rewarded with an incomparably intense nature experience – you can hardly get any closer to Africa.

Went with Sunways on a two week safari through Botswana into Zambia. From the first e mail enquiry to the final goodbye, the company was efficient and helpful. As a single woman of a certain age, I always felt safe and very well looked after. Food was very good and plentiful and the game drives were brilliant and highly successful. Cannot recommend our guides highly enough. If in doubt...go for it. You won't regret it!

If we could give Sunway Safaris more than five stars, we would. There simply aren’t enough superlatives in the English language to do justice to this incredible 21-day journey from Cape Town to Victoria Falls. The trip was led by the outstanding Iton and Sipho, who were so much more than guides and drivers. They were mechanics, chefs, problem-solvers, therapists, photographers, entertainers, friends and, above all, exceptional people who made every single day unforgettable. Their knowledge, professionalism, humour and genuine care for everyone on the trip were second to none. Sunway Safaris has perfected the balance between affordability and comfort. As someone who avoids camping at all costs, and I was concerned this would impact the true African experience, I can honestly say the accommodated option exceeded every expectation. It made an adventure like this accessible without losing any of the authenticity that makes overlanding so special. Travelling overland rather than flying allowed us to experience the true essence of Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Every changing landscape, every incredible wildlife encounter, every sunset and every small village became part of the story. You don’t just visit these countries, you experience them in their purest and most beautiful form. Since returning home, we’ve been trying to get our feet back on the ground, but the truth is we don’t really want that feeling to end. This wasn’t just a holiday; it was one of the most extraordinary experiences of our lives, filled with memories and friendships that will stay with us forever. Thank you, Sunway Safaris, and especially Iton and Sipho, for an adventure we’ll never forget. We would recommend this trip to anyone without hesitation.

Tour: BT14 Botswana Wildside Without a doubt one of the very best things I've ever done! The whole wild camping experience was fantastic from start to finish, made all the more enjoyable by the wonderful group of people I shared this incredible tour with. The wildlife encounters we had were amazing - I'm still stunned by the hundreds of photos I took along the way. The knowledge of the local guides meant we were learning all the time about the animals we saw and the landscape we were exploring....and the hard work and enthusiasm of Duncan, Solly and of course Ayi from the Sunway team made the two weeks we had together feel like the trip of a lifetime. Would I recommend this tour to other people? Definitely. Would I do it all again? Without a doubt! All in all an unforgettable introduction to the sights and sounds of wild Botswana. I can't wait to go back.....

Our trip was fantastic in so many ways. Our guides, Pumi and Wayne, were fantastic. We learned so much from them. I was really impressed. They were very happy to answer our questions about their lives and families too.
Our holiday was everything we hoped for and more! The most memorable part was undoubtedly our incredible guides—knowledgeable, patient, humorous, and kind—who transformed our group into a close-knit family. Truly an adventure.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME, THE BEST SAFARI EVER! Both our Guides, Wouter and Moses have been very much caring for the group. I shouldn’t forget to mention the poler who took us into the Delta! We all enjoyed it very much.
It was a fantastic trip and adventurous holiday! The route was a perfect mix of being on the road, doing game drives, going on bush walks, doing sight-seeing, getting in touch with local people. The whole trip was a unique experience for our small group.
The most exceptional experience. Because of the care and support you provided to ensure I was well prepared, and then the consistently remarkable information and fun that Shandile and Farai gave us, I’ve had an adventure of a lifetime.
There were so many breathtaking moments. Seeing our first herd of elephants marching with their babies was deeply emotional, and spotting our first cheetah was simply incredible. Inhambane felt like a tropical paradise…
I rarely write to comment on our holidays – but felt it was necessary after this experience. From the initial meeting everything has been wonderful. Our guides Willard and Gee were amazing – so helpful and knowledgeable…
After just two days we had already seen the Big Five – including a leopard mother with her cub on foot during a bush walk – and in total 15 rhinos! At every stop along the way, an entirely new and breathtaking landscape opened up before us.
From start to finish, the variation in the itinerary was fantastic and I have come away from the trip quite amazed at the number of different, but equally incredible T-Mobile things I was able to see and experience – from the game drives and wildlife in Kruger to the stunning walks in the Drakensburg Mountains.
Wonderful experience. More than we hoped for. Malawi was absolutely amazing. The walk at Mulanje was a highlight. Kalanga is a superb calm driver and both Kalunga and Alois are knowledgeable and excellent with clients.
The tour was well organised in terms of the variety of places we travelled to. We saw many, many animals as well as a variety of beautiful landscapes including many natural features. The tour was very well priced considering the inclusions such as entrance fees.
The whole holiday was amazing. We saw a large variety of animals & birds with expert guides, while enjoying the breathtaking landscapes & sunsets. I couldn’t recommend this trip or company more highly. Thank you!
All the guys are very, very caring about us and our wellbeing, very communicative, funny, knowing their country very well, animals, birds and plants, history, culture, telling funny stories. It was an absolutely fabulous trip…
Unforgettable Camping Safari – What made this journey exceptional was the outstanding work of our guides, Lloyd and Malinga. With genuine enthusiasm, deep expertise, and remarkable organization, they shaped this experience in every way.
We just finished on Sunday a wonderful, outstanding Zambia-Malawi- Mozambique-Kruger trip with Gee and Mike, both of whom were as good as any guides as we’ve had on our 20 camping treks in Asia, the Americas, & Africa!!
…Staying in the heart of the Okavango Delta, surrounded by wild animals, was a truly surreal and unforgettable experience. Overall, I would rate this holiday as unforgettable. I can’t wait to go back and experience it all again…
