Meine Traumreise nach Simbabwe und ins östliche Südafrika war noch viel, viel schöner und beeindruckender als erwartet: die unvergesslichen Begegnungen mit den Menschen vor Ort, die Gespräche mit dem einheimischen Guide Alfred abends am Lagerfeuer über Kultur, Geschichte und aktuelle Themen, die intensiven Beobachtungen der Tiere, die phantastische Natur, etc. Unser Reiseführer Nils, aus Deutschland, hat alles bestens organisiert und hat sich um die Gruppe in jeder Situation sehr gut gekümmert. My first time in Africa, and I spent about two out of three weeks with our two guides, Thabani and Ayibongwe. We all wished they could have stayed with us longer, and saying goodbye was difficult. They were incredibly professional yet fun and easygoing people. They had a wealth of knowledge about animals, culture, and villages! We always felt safe and welcome. Their cooking is amazing; I ate better than at home... I would love to come back again.

We had a truly wonderful time on the 17-day Rainbow Route with Sunway Safaris. The tour was incredibly diverse, taking us from Johannesburg through Kruger National Park, eSwatini, Zululand, the Drakensberg Mountains, the Wild Coast, and the Garden Route to Cape Town. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience so many different facets of South Africa. Our two guides from Sunway, Marcus and Fundi, were simply outstanding. Fundi is an excellent and very safe driver – even on challenging terrain – and his great sense of humor ensured a fantastic start to each day. Marcus is a fantastic cook and spoiled us with varied and delicious meals throughout the entire trip. He also always made sure our vegetarian daughter had a great meal. Both of them possess extensive knowledge of South African flora and fauna, as well as the country's culture. Thanks to their skills in spotting animals in the bush, we had some truly rare sightings, such as African wild dogs and a leopard on the open road – simply wow! Thank you so much, Marcus and Fundi, for making our South Africa trip such a special experience. We couldn't have asked for better guides! ❤️

The tour was exactly what we were looking for. Small group, full itinerary, comfortable beds and amazing guides. Chobe NP was breathtaking both in initial impact and the game drives. Etosha was equally good: rhino experience incredible. We're not home yet, and looking at booking another trip for next year or the year after.

Our safari through South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana was an unforgettable adventure that we would repeat in a heartbeat! It was so much more than just a classic safari. Of course, we saw an incredible number of animals and experienced breathtaking safaris, but at the same time, we also had the opportunity to get to know the countries, their cultures, and their people better. We saw, experienced, and learned so much in such a short time. What was especially wonderful was that our guides, Evans and Alfred, were able to tell us so much about the individual countries, the animals, and the natural environment. They made every safari truly special. We also shared many laughs and always felt completely at ease. Over time, Evans and Alfred became more than just guides to us—we truly gained them as friends! Even though we had to get up very early for many experiences and safaris, it was absolutely worth it every single time. The early morning hours, in particular, often rewarded us with extraordinary wildlife sightings, beautiful sunrises, and unforgettable moments. The food was also consistently excellent. We were particularly impressed by the food, some of which we prepared ourselves, and it made the whole experience even more personal. The lodges were all very satisfactory, and some were even truly luxurious. The entire trip was perfectly organized and, at the same time, full of adventure and unique experiences. We wholeheartedly recommend this safari and would do it again without hesitation. Thank you for this unforgettable time – we will cherish the memories for a very long time!
