These guided safari journeys take you off the beaten track to key highlights across Southern Africa while staying in carefully selected 3 plus star lodges, tented camps, and guest houses.
All rooms are en suite and chosen for location, comfort, and relaxed atmosphere, including both private lodges and selected national park stays.
Most meals are prepared by lodges and camps, offering buffet breakfasts and relaxed dinners, while your guide provides scenic picnic lunches on travel days, with some meals on own account as detailed in the itinerary.
Classic Journeys follow a non participation style, with staff handling all cooking and logistics so guests can fully relax and enjoy the experience.

What are Accommodated Adventures in Southern Africa?
They are small group safari tours by Sunway Safaris designed for travellers wanting comfort, value, and immersive wildlife experiences close to Africa’s nature and people.
These guided adventure safaris use comfortable, simple, well located accommodation including guest houses, chalets, lodges, and permanent tented camps. Most properties are 2 to 3 star, clean, friendly, and booked on a twin share basis. The majority of rooms are en suite, with occasional shared ablutions. All linen is provided, with full itinerary details available per departure.
Some itineraries include the Okavango Delta, featuring two nights in a mobile tented camp with dome tents, twin beds, en suite chemical toilet, and shared bucket showers with hot water prepared over fire.
Meals are a mix of guide prepared bush style cooking from the truck, lodge catered breakfasts and dinners on select nights, and picnic style lunches on travel days, often enjoyed around a campfire or boma.
These Accommodated Adventures are limited participation safaris, offering excellent value and a fully guided Southern Africa experience.

What is Under Canvas Camping on safari in Southern Africa?
It is a small group Sunway Safaris adventure offering an immersive wilderness experience where you sleep in tents and stay close to nature.
Camping takes place in designated sites in national parks, private reserves, campsites, and towns. Facilities are generally good with hot showers, electricity, laundry facilities, and often a bar or restaurant.
In remote areas facilities may be basic but functional. In Botswana, private wild campsites are used with no facilities provided. On wild camping nights the Sunway team sets up bucket showers with fire heated water and pit latrine tents, following strict low impact environmental practices.
Meals are prepared by Sunway guides on most nights, served around a campfire or boma, with picnic style lunches on travel days. Some lodge nights include in house breakfast or dinner depending on itinerary.
All camping equipment is provided except sleeping bags and pillows, with comfortable dome tents, mattresses, chairs, and full cooking equipment supplied.
