WAYNE MWANGO

Wayne was born on 21 Aug 1982 in Ndola, Zambia. He moved to Lusaka at the age of 13 and finished school there. Wayne joined the Youth Alive Zambia to get involved with caring for animals and ended up staying with them for 7 years working on volunteer programs. In 2005 driven by his ambition to become a tour guide he decided to come to South Africa and follow a guiding course to learn all the intricacies of the bush. After joining Sunway Safaris and spending some time on the road Wayne believes that he is finally living out his dream of being a tour guide. He also has a great love for football and passionately supports Manchester United.

SOUTH AFRICA RAINBOW ROUTE: ”Dear Sunway Team, After a few days at home in Austria, we have reviewed our tour on the Rainbow Route. It was again wonderful days that we were able to experience thanks to them. Whether Kruger National Park, the Drakensberg, Swaziland, the Addo Elephant Park, just to name a few, have been very impressive and beautiful. BOTSWANA WILD PARKS: Just got back from our trip to Botswana. The whole safari experience was simply incredible, game drives were really exciting and we saw a lot of animals in the wild. But the most memorable moment was when we spotted a leopard at a distance and we approached it with the vehicle, everyone was absolutely silent, it was just us and the leopard and all we could hear was cameras shooting and the animal's breath, truly unforgettable. RAINBOW ROUTE: Unbelievable – our two guides Wayne and Moses showed such attention to detail and above all, sensitiveness. They really made our trip. BOTSWANA WILDSIDE: We (Grahame, Cathy & Fiona Brind) have just returned from Botswana Wildside. This was our 5th Sunway safari, and our second Botswana Wildside, the last in 2009, also Botswana Wildside plus SA13. It was so good that when we wanted to take our daughter Fiona with us, it was the obvious choice, and we were not disappointed in the slightest. The tour leaders Wayne and Zambo excelled themselves and greatly enhanced the enjoyment for all of us. It was a surprise to learn that they had never met before as they worked so well together, as if they had been a team for many tours. A huge pat on the back for all concerned, and although in our late 70's, we may very well be back again., Grahame Brind

ZIMBABWE BOTSWANA: ”Having just arrived home from the Zimbabwe Botswana ZBa16 I wanted to drop you a few lines concerning our guides Wayne and Adolf. We have completed the basic feedback form but this does not allow for adequate comment concerning the guides.

Firstly it is due solely to their joint actions that I am able to write this from home now as we had two separate tyre blow outs on the last day during the drive to the airport. The way they jointly responded to this with teamwork, dedication to the task, minimum fuss, and ensuring that the customers interests were paramount at all times reflects the way they conducted themselves throughout the entire trip. My wife and I are seasoned travellers but rarely have we been so impressed with the professionalism, hard work and genuine desire to do everything possible to make our trip as enjoyable as it was.These guys are not only a credit to themselves but fine ambassadors for your company, in my view worth more than any traditional marketing strategy could achieve! Their tireless efforts throughout the entire trip made for a tremendous holiday.
