William is another home grown and proudly South Africa Sunway guide. He was born and raised in the small town of Groblersdal situated in Mpumalanga in the Eastern part of South Africa. Here he spent many school holidays with the family that his mother worked for. They often spent time exploring the stunning, and World famous Kruger National Park. This is where (like many South African's) his love affair with the bush started and it has simply grown from there. His formative years exploring Kruger National Park have grown into a full blown passion for the bush which inspired William to make his passion his career. As William says “To this day I love being in the bush, sharing our beautiful continent, my passion and knowledge with my clients. Working as a guide brings me great joy and I am privileged to be able to work in the field of my passion”.
SOUTHERN CIRCLE NBa21: It’s been more than a month since we’ve returned from our African safari. It’s not that I’ve forgotten to email you, it’s more that I’ve been pained to look at photos and remember the incredible adventure we had, and how much we wish every day that we were still there. In my wildest dreams I could not have foreseen what we were about to experience. For a year we planned, saved, dreamt and imagined what it might be like. Nothing could have prepared us for the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and indelible memories that are now engraved in our hearts and minds forever. We had no idea how long the potted roads were, how hot and dusty the days would be, how tired we would be at the end of each day. Yet, despite this, we could not wait to greet each morning before sunrise, after packing our bags and eating our breakfast, and climbing into our dusty bus again to start another day of our intepid journey. The joy of seeing each and every animal and insect, from elephants to ants, never, ever wore thin. It was a joy and a privilege to share their world, and we were humbled by it. I would need to write a novel to express the joy of each day of our 21 day safari. I have a thousand photos to sort through and that’s after culling the ones I didn’t want! I have found a new lifelong joy in my memories of the trip of a lifetime. I have talked so much about it to friends that they recently booked the exact same tour with you, the same time next year. My girls and I are already talking about where in Africa we will go to next. We have started to save for our next greatest adventure. It can’t happen soon enough.
If I had to pick one thing that I know we could not have done without on our safari, without a shadow of a doubt, it was our tour guides William and Victor from Sunway Safaris. They were absolutely AMAZING and Sunway are lucky to have them as part of their team. They made the trip for us. My daughter turned 13 while we were there, and although she was by far the youngest, William and Victor became her uncles because they were so great with her. They also helped to make her feel very special on her birthday. I cannot speak more highly of how wonderful these two guides were. We would go back there just to be able to do another tour with them again!! I’m so glad we took a chance and didn’t listen to the naysayers about traveling to Africa at a time of uncertainty and civil unrest. Africa is so unbelievably and unapologetically raw in so many ways. She has a way of getting under your skin and leaving you wanting, needing so much more. I can’t member who said it, but they got it right when they said if you can only travel to two places in your life - make sure the first is Africa.....and the second, is Africa.

DESERT & DELTA NB21: This is a fantastic trip due to the variety of experiences that are included. Some very long days, but all very worthwhile. The "optional" activities such as Zambezi river canoeing, quad biking on the Namib sand dunes and Okavango delta flight were also very worthwhile. The rich diversity of wildlife was amazing: we observed more than 100 species of bird, 30 species of mammal and many reptiles and amphibians- only Leopard was too elusive for all the 'big five', but 4/5 isn't bad! Highly recommended trip. Really good leaders: knowledgeable, patient, hard-working and enthusiastic for the wildlife/environment of these fantastic countries. " McMeechan, UK
BOTSWANA WILD PARKS: First time and very recommandable. Just back from an unforgettable Sunway Safaris Tour to Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls with German speaking, perfect guide Wouter („as almost a part of the group“, always available and left no questions open) Driver William also a very experienced, carefully driver.
Because both of them, we have discoverd the „Big Five“ at the first days already. Our „Red Elephant“ (Safari Chariot) was perfect suited for all "challenges".

BOTSWANA WILDSIDE: We have just returned home to Australia after our Botswana Wildside tour. We would like to pass on our praises for all our guides and helpers throughout the tour. William and Alios made such a wonderful pair of lead guides and complemented one another so well.
We were very impressed with their knowledge of Africa's history, geography and wildlife. Not only were they well-informed, your staff also made sure that we were well-looked after throughout the whole tour. It is thanks to passionate staff like these which made our trip so memorable and we hope that they equally well-valued by your company." James Entwisle, Karla Nyhuis, Deon Ning, Australia
