The Cheetah that kissed the car..

Kruger Cheetah.jpg small Patrick one of our German guides had just returned form the Walking South Africa Safari JJa14 and had a wonderful time in the Kruger national Park at the beginning of the tour and wanted to tell you about the time spent in our world renowned park... So, on my last trip to the Kruger NP something spectacular happened. The day we arrived we had a good game drive, seeing many animals and enjoying the stunning scenery. Our bushy bushy stops were perfectly coordinated and the day passed amazingly.

On our second day in the Kruger NP we enjoyed a full day game drive, meaning that we left just as the gates to our camp opened at 6, and returned just before closing time at 6! We pride ourselves to offer our clients the best experience possible, and that’s what we did! Not only did we see the Big 5 that morning we even added a cheetah to the list. We passed the cheetah, not knowing what we were looking at because of the great distance between us. At first I thought to myself, "lions", but then I realised through my binoculars that we have actually found cheetah!

After spending about 15 minutes looking at the cheetahs, and finally everybody having seen them, we made space for the other viewers to view. We drove down the road for another 15 minutes and returned to the cheetahs 30 minutes after we departed and good that we did. They were mobile, they were moving. And not only that, but they even started hunting in front of our very eyes, but it’s a shame, the hunt was interrupted by a moving car that got between the Impala and the hunting Cheetah. The Cheetah, which thank God wasn’t in full motion, smashed against the car that wasn’t able to avoid the collision. So good people out there reading this, if you ever have a spectacular encounter with the wild, stop, don’t move your car, and just enjoy the view even if its from a distance!
