Guides prize giving 2016.

Guides Logo smallEvery year we have a small get together to appreciate the guides that work endless hours on the road for Sunway Safaris. Without the guides we would have no operations and staff to take our +- 2700 clients that travel on the 300 departures we have a year covering 9 different countries in Southern Africa. Operating 4 different styles of travel being Camping, Accommodated, Classic and Expedition the guides need to know how to operate effectively with what ever tour they are guiding on.

Our friendly and professional guides will show you the beauty of this fantastic continent and explain the nature, history and culture of the land and its people. The guides are well trained, experienced and enthusiastic professionals dedicated to providing you with the holiday of a lifetime in Africa. They are licensed with both the Field Guides Association of South Africa (FGASA) and the South African Department of Environment and Tourism (DEAT) and are fully trained in First Aid.
Their knowledge of their home region, local conditions, the African bush and their willingness to share this knowledge ensures that your safari is enjoyable and successful.  We have chosen tour leaders with this similar passion and we hope you will allow us to show you Africa the Sunway way!

Back in late 2014 we introduced a guides points system which is calculated on the feedback we receive from the clients that travel on the various tours through the infamous feedback form handed to the clients at the end of the tour. With these feedback forms we can then see what the guides are actually achieving on the road.
For 2016 we had the top 5 guides being:
