Maxwell and Shadreck recently got back from a Zimbabwe Botswana ZBa16 and had some great experiences along the way. This is what Maxwell had to say... With some really nice sun but somehow cool temperatures we started our adventure from Johannesburg and headed north to Kruger National Park. It’s always nice to have twelve clients on board most of them on their first African safari, not so sure what to expect for the next 16 days. It was a perfect group with mixed nationalities to experience the African atmosphere, the wilderness the wonderful people and the wide varieties of flora and fauna big and small.
Shadreck just returned from the Mozambique Kruger Beach and Bush MOa14 and had some new experiences. This is what he had to share... My first tour for the season has just given me a new approach and more strength to look forward for the oncoming tours for 2017.
Recently Stefanie and Chris had a private tour for a repeat group to Southern Africa. They had an amazing tour and wanted to share the following. The most common striped animal to come around on a Sunway Safaris Tour is likely to be a Plains Zebra or formerly known as Burchell’s Zebra. This iconic animal never ceases to fascinate our visitors from overseas. It certainly never ceases to fascinate me and I have seen loads and loads but there is just something truly beautiful and magical about zebras.
On the National Geographic Channel, there used to be an entertaining documentary about the lives and stories of Meerkats, called Meerkat Manor. On this tour, Carina felt like they had walked straight into Meerkat Manor when they went to meet the Meerkat families at the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans.
We awoke frighteningly early on that cold Kalahari morning and nearly froze to our seats on the way to the den sites. We wanted to reach their homes before they woke up, so that we could see them warming up (like us) and getting ready for another day’s foraging and entertaining tourists.
