Welcome to Zululand Lodge!! Watch the sunset over the African bush from our deck. Enjoy a bush walk along the banks of the Msineni River, spend time bird watching in the riverene forest or enjoy the wildlife in one of the surrounding big five game reserves.
Stephanie and Shandle just returned form a very wet Botswana and had the following to share.. When we started the Botswana Wild Parks tour in Johannesburg, everyone was well aware of the fact that this time of the year is the rainy season and the weather we simply cannot control. However Mother Nature was kind to us in that she would stop the downpours before activities and start them again when we were finished and had shelter. No bushwalk, game drive or boat cruise was done while it was raining but the effects of the huge amounts of water were evident.
Every year we have a small get together to appreciate the guides that work endless hours on the road for Sunway Safaris. Without the guides we would have no operations and staff to take our +- 2700 clients that travel on the 300 departures we have a year covering 9 different countries in Southern Africa. Operating 4 different styles of travel being Camping, Accommodated, Classic and Expedition the guides need to know how to operate effectively with what ever tour they are guiding on.
Patrick one of German guides returned form a South Africa Rainbow Route SAa17 with the following to share with all of us...I’ve recently returned from my South Africa rainbow route which was a really nice chilled tour with a nice group mixture aging from 25 to 65 with a great understanding for each other. We enjoyed all of our past days, and obviously all the following ones as well. We’ve had rain in the Drakensberg and in the Kruger National Park as well. So we were enjoying the sunny day that the Wild coast was offering us on our day of arrival there.
