Fundisani Sibanda

Passionate about sharing history, culture and giving a memorable experience to wonderful visitors of Africa, I was born in Zimbabwe in the great city of Bulawayo also known as the city of kings.

After high school I enrolled for bachelor of accounting science with university of South Africa [UNISA] while in Zimbabwe. Due to expensive university fees, my parents who were domestic workers struggled to pay for my studies as they had to also carter for my 2 siblings, situation forced me to drop out.

Trying to make ends meet, I have worked at restaurants in Gauteng province of South Africa as a chef, barista and waitron. Later on I found myself as an eHailing transport service driver. 

Having friends who were into guiding and through research, I realised the tourism industry has a lot to offer and got inspired to study guiding. I studied nature guiding with Field guides association of southern Africa [FGASA], after qualification I had to search for employment in the tourism industry. 

Thanks to Sunway Safaris for giving me opportunity to broaden and share my knowledge of history, culture and nature environment with visitors. Looking forward to enhance my studies in guiding as the saying goes, ‘the sky is the limit’.
