Keith Fema
My name is Keith A.T Fema, and I hail from Karoi in western Zimbabwe, raised in the scenic Matetsi Safari Area near Hwange National Park. Growing up surrounded by nature, I developed a deep passion for the wild. My father, a senior ranger and professional hunter, and my uncle, a park warden, instilled in me a love for wildlife and conservation. I would often sneak onto hunting vehicles to experience the bush, and their guidance and expertise sparked my dream to become a guide.
Throughout my school years in Victoria Falls, my fascination with nature only grew stronger. I was drawn to the khaki attire of guides and, before completing my secondary education, I had already taken my guiding license exams. Although my mentor’s passing derailed my plans to study ecology, my passion for wildlife never wavered.
After a brief stint in South Africa’s culinary industry, I rediscovered my calling and pursued a career in tourism. Joining Sunway Safaris was a turning point, broadening my knowledge and perspective on the industry. Today, as a dedicated guide and African ambassador, I’m driven to showcase the continent’s beauty and create unforgettable memories for travelers. Through my work, I aim to paint a vibrant picture of Africa, sharing its wonders with the world.
